Sri Ranganath Sripiteshwar
Description
About this Collection: The murtis in this series are replicas of the deities in residence at the Bhutabhrteshwarnath Mandir in Shree Peetha Nilaya, Germany. Paramahamsa Vishwananda Himself was very pleased with the efforts made to bring these replicas to the Bhakti Shop, and we are very happy to offer them so that they can grace your own home as well.
Sri Ranganath is a manifestation of the Supreme Lord, Narayana, in His Maha-Vishnu aspect. He is the eternal consort of Maha-Lakshmi and thus His name is Sripiteshwar. He reclines on His constant companion, Adishesh, who floats on the Milky Ocean. Although in this pose it may look like He is drifting off to sleep, He is not asleep. In fact, Maha-Vishnu is enjoying His creation. His Divine Will is the starting point for creation, and He lives inside of us all, deep within our spiritual hearts.
This murti is a replica of the form seen on the main altar. Bring the power of Sripiteshwar to your own home with this carefully carved design which highlights the same features as the temple original.
