Paramahamsa Vishwananda created this lovely Vitthala to show how the Lord dances for His dear friend Namdev. The emotion and attraction are so clearly portrayed in Vithoba’s face. Despite having a very close friendship, Namdev’s devotion was challenged by his guru. Submission to the guru makes our devotion grow. The more we submit, the more the Lord is drawn to us. This image reminds us to turn inward to find what will not only attract the Lord, but what will make Him dance for us.
