GOPALA KRISHNA
Description
In this picture, Paramahamsa Vishwananda’s painting style reflects such an incredible childlike innocence and structure. It is so simple and endearing. Gopal means the protector of cows. The cow is a symbol of our atma (soul) and the Lord is the protector of our atma. Normally shepherds stay behind the cows pushing them forward, but here the Lord is in the lead taking His charges to where they need to go. Just like Guruji leads us to where we need to be.
