KRISHNA FEEDING KALI
Description
In this intimate scene, Paramahamsa Vishwananda has given us a very rare representation of Krishna and the Mother. Instead of mother Yashoda feeding her child, Krishna is offering His prised makhan (butter) to Kali Ma. Their love relationship is evident in the way they look at each other and the sweetness of their interaction. The buttermilk—dear to Krishna—represents us, His devotees. So, in essence, the Lord is bringing us to Her.
